Upon graduation from the Swiss Banking School in 1993, he joined IHAG Handelsbank where he spent four years as Registered Trader within the Institutional Trading business unit. Subsequently, in 1997, Mr. Schaefer joined Lombard Odier & Cie., as Vice President for the Institutional Sales and Trading division covering the German-speaking part of Europe. Thereafter, in 1999, he joined the Pictet & Cie. Brokerage division, leading the Zurich effort and subsequently setting up the company’s US hedge fund coverage activities in New York in the fall of 2001.
Mr. Schaefer joined Armor Capital (Switzerland) SA in Lausanne as Chief Operating Officer in January of 2007."
